Crime Pays!

When Joseph revealed himself to his brothers in Egypt he proclaimed to them, “You meant this for bad, but God meant this for good!” First Presbyterian Church of Metro City has had a similar situation. Last week they found that their sanctuary’s apse has been hit by a graffiti artist when painters left the sanctuary unlocked over the weekend. The church had approved having the sanctuary repainted, but had split in a rancorous fight over its color. When Pastor Evlynn and Elder Jinkins arrived to see the painting results on Monday they were shocked to see this image:

“Obviously whomever did this work is a great talent and a person of great faith. It would be a shame to destroy such an intricate piece of art.” elder Sally Toney said.

Ever since word got out about First’s great piece of art church attendance has doubled and giving has tripled. A Christmas miracle.
