1st Annual PSWP Film Festival

Some have their Sundance, while others have their Tribeca but right here in Pleasant Valley we are having our 1st Annual Presbytery of Silly Walks in the Pines film festival. Suggestions for favorite movies have been submitted and the projector’s light bulb has been replaced. Here are this year’s offerings.

July 31- VIP with Doris Day and Rock Hudson
August 1- A Man Called Peter
August 2- Martin Luther

There will be a moon bounce provided for the children in memorial hall (Please no adults we still owe the amusement company for last year’s hoe down). Rodney Stinsen will bring his kettles for frying up fresh crackling, apple butter and kettle popcorn.

I think the festival should include “John Calvin takes Geneva.” It is particularly notable for the reading of the Institutes. Bring a sack lunch and a sleeping bag.
